OMG...I can't believe that 2010 is almost here! I've been looking forward to a new year (and hopefully a healthier one for my family and I) for quite some time. Can't wait to see what all is in store for me in '10. I know one thing for sure....it's time to start thinking about January meals. I guess that Amy and I have a New Year's Resolution of getting the menus out in a timelier manner. So here's the menu for January. As always, RSVPs are due by 5:00 the first Friday in the month (that would be January 1st this time). I'll also need to know any special needs at this time (i.e. servings of 2, allergies, etc.). We're not sure if there will be a party or not...that's still up in the air. If we have a party the cost will be $140 (and you provide your cooked meat)....if not, it's $145 and we'll provide the cooked meat for everyone. Okay, okay...here's what's cookin' this month......

December Menu
The deadline is THIS FRIDAY by 5:00 pm (I know, I know...it's coming up quick!). With the Christmas holidays approaching fast, and busy schedules for everyone, there will NOT be a party again this month. (I really hope to resume the parties in January.) Please let me know when you RSVP if you have any special requests, food allergies, need servings of 2, etc. We will be providing the cooked meat again this month, so the cost will be $145 for all ten meals. November Meals
I don't know what happened, but obviously I spaced-out for October and the meal list never made it to the blog. But I'm ready this time...
With Thanksgiving right around the corner, we've decided to make this month's menu relevant for Fall. (Hopefully the weather will do the same soon!) We need to know NO LATER than Friday, November 6th, at 5:00 pm if you will be ordering the November meals. There is NOT a party this month, but meals will be ready for pick up by Saturday, November 21st. If they are ready sooner than that, I will let you know! We will be providing the meat for all ten meals this month, so the cost will be $145. Below is the menu....

Herbed Chicken

Rainy Day Chicken and Rice

If you are unable to pick up your meals by the 21st, you can mail payment to me. Just let me know and I'll send you my address. Also, please let me know when you plan on picking up your meals...so I can make sure my freezer is cleaned out before I start buying for December. :)

September Meals
This month will be done the same as last month. My sister and I will prepare all of the meals for you...at no additional cost. You will get all ten meals made and ready for pick up (or delivery) for $140. The only "extra" costs would be as follows: servings of 2 ($10) and any additional meals you'd like ($12 each). All meals will be ready by Friday, September 18th (at the latest). As your meals are ready, I will contact you so we can set up a time for you to pick them up from my house, or for me to deliver them to you. The menu for this month is below.
Asian Grilled Pork Tenderloin - a grilled pork tenderloin that's marinated in a sweet Asian sauce
Blackberry Balsamic Chicken - baked chicken basted with a blackberry/balsamic vinegar sauce
Broiled Parmesan Tilapia (it's back!) - broiled tilapia topped with a super-yummy parmesan spread
Chicken Potato Casserole - a hearty casserole of chicken and shredded potatoes
Honey Couscous Chicken - baked sweet chicken breasts served over a veggie-filled honey couscous
Layered Enchilada Bake - exactly what the name says...a layered beef enchilada casserole
* Polynesian Steak - grilled flank steak in a Polynesian sauce
Sweet and Spicy Chicken - don't let the name fool you, it's not too spicy for kiddos
Sweet Sugar Burgers (back by popular demand) - not your typical hamburger...a hint of sweetness for a different take on burgers
Zesty Spaghetti Bolognese - homemade spaghetti in a creamy red sauce
I need to know NO LATER than Thursday, September 10th if you plan on ordering. Remember, there is no party and no additional fees for having the meals prepared for you. Also, make substitutions so that your menu is exactly what you want. It doesn't make sense to fill your freezer with meals your family won't eat. For example, if you don't eat beef, then create a menu from the ten meals above that doesn't include any of the beef meals. If you choose to substitute any of your meals for extras of the one marked with a * there will be a $2 charge. Each person is allowed one * meal each month, included in the $140. (I hope that makes sense.)
One more thing to remember...anyone can be included in this at any time. It is not exclusive to those who receive this email from me. If you have a coworker, friend or relative who is interested, please forward this web address to them. Give them my contact information and have them respond if they're interested.
