February Menu

I feel like just when I can see the shelves in my freezer, it's already time to fill 'em back up! I hope each of you has enjoyed January's meals! There were quite a few "new recipes" on the menu last month...and I've gotten really good feedback on them all. Woo hoo! If you're looking for a way to reduce a little (or a lot) of stress at dinner time, give "It's in the Bag!" a try! There is no obligation...so why not give it a shot?! I can promise you (along with 20+ other people) that you will LOVE it. As always, a HUGE "thank you" to our faithful friends who keep "It's in the Bag"" going...I don't know where I'd be without my freezer meals.

Here is the menu and the rest of the information follows. All meals have a description, cooking method, and approximate cooking time. (Little to NO prep is involved!)

Apricot Glazed Pork – a pork roast slow-cooked in a semi-sweet apricot glaze (Slow Cooker, 6-8 hours)
Chicken Durango – chicken breasts baked in a lemon-butter sauce (Oven, 45 minutes)
Chinese Chicken –
thin chicken strips stir-fried in a Chinese brown sauce (Stovetop, 20 minutes)
Creamy Chicken & Biscuits – similar to the inside of a chicken pot pie, served over fresh baked biscuits (Stovetop, 20 minutes)
*Garlic Grilled Steak – a tender steak grilled in a garlic-infused marinade (Grill, 20 minutes)
Oregano Chicken – chicken breasts baked in a lemon-oregano sauce (Oven, 30 minutes)
Parmesan Crusted Tilapia – tilapia fillets crusted with an Italian-parmesan crumb mixture (Oven, 10-15 minutes)
Rob’s Pork Chops - boneless pork chops in a soy sauce based marinade...named after my hubby 'cause he likes them so much (Grill or Broil, 10-15 minutes)
Sloppy Joes - these put Manwich to shame; ground beef cooked in a semi-sweet sauce served on buns (Stovetop, Ready in 30 minutes)
Texas Chili – a hearty, Southwest-inspired chili…back by popular demand! (Stovetop, 30 minutes)

RSVPs for the month are due February 4th. For various reasons, again we are NOT having a party. All meals will be made ahead of time and ready for pick up by the 18th. I plan on being home on the 18th, 19th, and the 20th (minus the time we're at church) for meal pick-up. Please let me know NO LATER than NEXT FRIDAY if you are ordering the February meals. (If you cancel your order anytime after the deadline, you are financially responsible for your meals. We will do our best to sell them, but cannot guarantee anything!) Remember, only order the meals that your family will eat. Feel free to make your menu of ten meals using any combination of the choices above. A standard order includes one of every meal listed above. If you would like to substitute any of the meals on the list for additional orders of the meal marked with * (Garlic Grilled Steak), please add $2 per order. If you would like to order more than ten meals, add $12 per meal (or $14 for the Garlic Grilled Steak). The cost is $155...and there's nothing else you need to provide!

Here is the on-going incentive we're offering......

Incentive #1 - If you refer a NEW person to "It's in the Bag!" for this month you can take $10 off of your order! (Make sure they give your name when they RSVP with their order.) If you have more than one person to refer, this offer is good for up to THREE new referrals (up to $30 off).

As always, if you have any questions, feel free to email me at dana.nordlander@gmail.com.
